MacBook Pro、iPod classicに在庫調整の兆候？

MacBook ProとiPod classicで供給量が減少しているという報告があるらしいが…

Reports of tightening supplies for Apple's MacBook Pro models continue today, with one reader letting us know that he was just informed by Apple that a replacement for his faulty machine will likely not be available for 4-6 weeks, and possibly as long as 8 weeks.

MacBook Pro 本体交換の申し出に対して 4〜6週間、場合によっては 8週間かかるかもしれないと Apple から知らされた店舗があるようですね。交換理由はさておき在庫があれば即応は可能なはずですから、何らかの理由があって時間が掛かってしまうのだろう、という事でしょうね。「何らかの理由」というのが推して知るべし…と。

また、9 to 5 Mac によると現行 MacBook Pro の一部モデルについては ‘unavailable’ と表示されていて予約（販売店）が受けられない状態になっているようです。

iPod Classic Supplies Tightening Ahead of Possible Update or Discontinuation: via MacRumors

The Apple Store shows that the silver iPod Classic now ships in 1-3 days, down from 24 hours last week. In addition, Best Buy has updated their website to say that the device is backordered for 1-2 weeks (last week it was shipped in 1 day) and Target also has it backordered for 2-4 weeks. Currently the shortage only seems to be affecting the silver colored model, the dark colored version appears relatively unaffected.

こちらは Apple Store で iPod classic の出荷予定日の記述変更や（24時間以内→1〜3営業日、現在は24時間以内の表示）、Best Buy や Target では 24 時間以内の出荷表示から1〜2週間、2〜4週間の入荷待ち表示になっているとのこと。ただし出荷の遅れが見えるのはシルバーモデルのみのようで、ブラックモデルについてはこれまで通り 24時間以内（1営業日以内）の表示になっているようです。

アップデートがあるとすればドライブへの Flash 採用か、精々容量アップくらいしか思いつかないのですがほかに何が考えられますか？classic に Flash ドライブを採用してもあまり大きな恩恵は得られないんじゃないか…という気もしないわけでもありませんが σ(^_^;)
