新iPodファミリーが果たして出てくるのか？期待渦巻くイベントは9月9日
かねてから9月8日か9日にAppleが音楽関連のイベントを開くのではないかと噂されていましたが、まさにその通り、World of Appleなどによれば9月9日に音楽関連のイベントを開催する旨が関係各所に通知されているとのこと。
Apple Confirms September 9th Media EventApple has announced that on September 9th the company will hold a media event at the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco. The invitations which contain a take on the Rolling Stones song title “It’s only rock and roll, but we like it,” were emailed to select members of the media earlier today.

コピーにどのような意味が込められているのか悩むところですが、これまでの噂をまとめると…
- iPod touch, iPod nanoの更新 (カメラ搭載？など)
- iTunesのアップデート (iTunes 9)
- ┣ iTunes Storeでの新たな音楽パッケージ販売の開始 (コードネーム: Cocktail)
- ┣ Blu-Rayに対応
- ┗ iPhoneなどでのアプリケーションアイコンの整列 (配置) 環境の用意
…といったところに期待が寄せられています。
これ以外にも誰にも予想できなかったことが起こる可能性もありますし、現場復帰を果たしているSteve Jobs CEOの登壇があるかどうかも注目されますね。
また、多くの方が関心を寄せている例のMacについては『音楽関連イベント』という性格を考えるとこの場で発表される可能性は極めて低いものと思われます。
