Apple to Hold Early April Media Event for iOS 5 and MobileMe Revamp?＠MacRumors

German site Macerkopf.de claims to have received word from a source that Apple is planning an early April media event to introduce iOS 5 and revamped MobileMe services. The report seems to indicate that the event would take place on Apple's campus in the 14th or 15th week of the year, which would be the first or second full week in April.

ドイツの Macerkopf.de というサイトの情報筋によると、Apple は 今年の第 14 週 (3/27〜4/2）か第 15 週（4/3〜4／9）のいずれかで iOS 5 ならびに MobileMe に関連したメディア向けイベントを開くかもしれないとのこと。

 

これ以上の詳細は不明ですが、iOS (iPhone OS) のメジャーリリースに関するアナウンスは過去も概ねこの時期（iOS 4.0, iPhone OS 3.0) に開催されていることからその可能性は十分にあり得そうです。

iOS 4.0 は2010年4月8日、Apple 本社にてアナウンスされた (リリースは6月21日)

iOS 5 についてはまだ想像し難いですが、MobileMe に関しては iPhone を探す機能など一部が無料開放に切り替わっていたり、MobileMe のパッケージ販売を終えているといった状況からサービスの無料化があるのではないかという声が盛り上がりを見せています。
